Never intended to be a one-off event, doing everything to increase participation and engender goodwill will not only contribute greatly to the success of the inaugural parade, but pave the way for a legacy of Chaos & Joy.
Factors raised and considered include:
● Less disruptive to already construction-challenged downtown traffic, and by extension;
○ Downtown corporations
○ Downtown government offices
○ Downtown residents
● The current socio-political climate, where:
○ Sponsorships are being withdrawn / withheld from events considered risqué, with the new standard for what constitutes risqué fluid.
